I Love the Fountain by Abigail Scott
I love the fountain because
it is so much fun
I love the fountain because it's the one place
where mom can't say
Don't get your shoes dirty, abigail
I love the fountain, even the way it sounds.
I love the fountain because
when you open your mouth
you are bound to catch at least one drop
or maybe a whole bunch of drops
I love the fountains because
everyone gets wet when they play in the fountain
even mom and dad
It's rain with sun.
I love the fountain!
And it's my favorite place because
mom and dad get in the fountain and yell and shout
because they think I'm going to drown
but I'm not.
It's just a fountain.
